Sprout and Kraut Salad

During the past couple months, one of my favourite foods to put together has been a green lentil sprout and sauerkraut salad.

I first sprout green lentils using a method similar to one found in the article “How to Grow Bean Sprouts in a Jar“. It takes very little effort and the beans are ready in a few days.

From there, all that is involved is mixing ingredients and eating.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups sprouted green lentils
  • 3 cups sauerkraut (wine sauerkraut has been a personal favourite)
  • chilli or hot sauce to taste
