Helvetica

Jones N. Wiedle‘s Helvetica is a wonderful webcomic that follows a newly dead person’s struggle with his new state. The art is expressive and the story is rewardingly heavier on the everyday than on the supernatural. It reminds me very positively of Trollords because of Jones’ ability to embed meaning in a fun and inviting work.

Helvetica is a young man who has recently died! When you die, you don’t remember anything in life, and your first word(s) is your name. This story follows Helvetica’s desire to uncover who he was in life, his existential crises, and his struggle to make death worth living.
