Beatrocktober 01 – Bambu’s “Comrades”

Beatrock Music operates as a co-op and is home to some fantastic hip-hop artists with genuine activist backgrounds. The music is political, coming from the radical left, and that was what made it so exciting to go through the albums. Since first learning of the label, I’ve been thrilled by every release. With Ruby Ibarra‘s new album coming out on the 3rd, I thought now would be a good time to share tracks from my favourite label, one each day this month. This is the good stuff.

Up first is Bambu‘s “Comrades”, one of the tracks that first got me into exploring everything on Beatrock.
